This week saw the end of the transfer window, putting an end to a lot of speculation and some high money transfers, and also other news including a take over of Manchester City.

The twenty four year old Brazilian has already said that he has high hopes for Manchester City, and is aiming to win the Premier League this season. The news comes after Arab business, Abu Dhabi United Group, took over the club on Monday. The company has promised that Manchester City will be one of the top four teams in England in less than three seasons.

The transfer saga involving Dimitar Berbatov has finally come to an end after he joins the club he wants, Manchester United. The Red Devils paid just under twenty one million pounds to sign the striker from Tottenham Hotspur, where the Bulgarian was not getting played. The twenty seven year old said it was his dream come true to play for Manchester United, and that he was really looking forward to the prospect of playing Champions League football. Spurs were reportedly going to make a complaint to the FA about United’s behavior in trying to sign the player, but have dropped any allegations.

Fulham’s goal keeper, Antti Niemi, has announced that his retirement from the game. In International news, England have gone down in the FIFA rankings in to fifteenth place, and are now just one place ahead of Scotland.
